It was wonderful to see so many happy, smiley faces this year, making memories for children and their families who have suffered trauma. They really benefited from a respite break with us, away from the stresses and strains of everyday life.

With the sun shining, many days were spent whiling away the hours on the beach. The nearby beaches are picturesque with rock pools for crabbing and splashing. The children played making sandcastles, digging holes, jumping over the waves, enjoying an ice cream. The positive impact of the time given for family bonds and memories to be formed, cannot be underestimated. Each family was able to return home feeling refreshed and ready to take on the challenges that undoubtedly would lie ahead. The massive impact that Jennie’s Children’s Trust has on people’s lives is clear to see.
