2021 NewsLetter

After such a challenging year for everyone, we were thrilled to be able to welcome 12 more families to the picturesque and peaceful Timber Hill in Pembrokeshire, over the summer. The additional challenges that Covid has presented for families who have children with severe medical needs or suffering from the loss of a parent or child/sibling, has meant that a week away this year, was needed perhaps more than any other. The isolation, uncertainty as well as the reduced support from organisations that would normally be there to help, has really taken its toll.

Jennie’s Children’s Trust was so pleased to be able to offer these families a week away from the stresses and strains of daily life. Timber Hill offers the perfect surroundings to relax and unwind. It allowed them to enjoy the sea air, take a family walk, indulge in an ice cream on the beach, foster friendships and for parents to relax knowing their children are having fun in a safe environment; exactly what was needed. The positive impact of the time given for family bonds and memories to be formed, cannot be underestimated. Each family was able to return home feeling refreshed and ready to take on the challenges that undoubtedly would lie ahead. Jennie’s Children’s Trust really makes a massive difference to people’s lives and we are so very grateful for all the generous donations without which  it would simply not be possible,

Thank you
