Helping create happy memories for children and their families who have suffered trauma

ABOUT

Founded in 1994, Jennie’s Children’s Trust provides a place where children who have suffered medical trauma or bereavement can recover, recharge and enjoy quality time together with their families. Families can escape the difficulties that they face on a daily basis, relax and have fun in the peaceful surroundings of the Pembrokeshire countryside and coastline.

The many testimonials we have received from the families demonstrate the true value of Jennie’s Children’s Trust in meeting real needs.

There are no paid members of the trust and the volunteers give their time freely so you can be sure whatever you give goes directly to the children and their families.

BRoadhaven

5 minutes drive from Timber Hill

Broad Haven beach is a paradise for children and is one of the finest in Pembrokeshire. Below the cliffs, there are numerous rock pools and on the north end of the beach is the craggy Lions Head. Haven Sports have a well-stocked watersports shop near the seafront and offer surfboard, paddleboard, wetsuit and kayak hire.

TENBY

45 minutes drive from Timber Hill

In the summer months, there’s nothing better than sitting on the soft golden sand of Tenby Harbour Beach. Snuggled within the safety of the harbour walls and just a short walk from the main multi-storey car park in Tenby, this beach is ideal for young families.

ST DAVIDS

35 minutes from Timber Hill

Pretty St Davids, in west Wales, its quaint streets decorated with bunting and cute cafes, boutiques and galleries, is actually the UK’s smallest city. The history behind it is because from the 16th century a town with a cathedral was considered a city by the English Crown. This link was abolished in 1888, but Queen Elizabeth II granted St Davids city status again in 1994 in recognition of its heritage.
